Lush Haul – I’m not sure if I have mentioned this on the blog already but…”My name is Lisa and I’m a Lush Addict!”.
This is probably just the first time I’ve actually documented this awesome addiction in detail. I recently ran out of my facial cleanser, was looking for a new shampoo and needing a new face mask to try. Hence the trip to Lush. I checked the last time I purchased stuff from Lush, it was before 2-3 months ago (which is kinda a long time for me!).
I tried this cleanser on my hand in the store, one of the girls was super duper sweet enough to give me a small demo. At first we tried the Angels on Bare Skin Cleanser, and was really amazed at how it got rid of the redness from my skin, and then we tried the 9 to 5 on my other hand and I loved the softness it had on my skin after rinsing. So I was definitely sold on that part. Both left a very soft and not stripped feeling. The scent is so fresh and very nice too!
My next query and issue was my hair. The past 8 months I’ve been using this all natural shampoo that I found at Chemist Warehouse, which had lavender and peppermint ingredients to soothe irritated scalps like mine. But lately found each time after washing my hair, it would be oily again????!!!! So I asked one of the girls at the store for something that could control the oil, she suggested this amazing little solid shampoo bar. Most of the hair products at Lush contain SLS (which is a sulfate) and for 5 years I have not been using any shampoo with SLS anymore since I thought that was the main irritate for my scalp. After reading some information about it (you can read this in their latest catalogue), I found out that SLS isn’t actually that bad. So I gave this gem a go and its been great, my hair is no longer oily after washing it! P.S Again the smell is divine!!! Very citrusy and fresh!
As noted earlier, I was on the hunt for a new mask to try! One of you guys on my Sunday Pamper Routine post suggested the Cosmetic Warrior. I did pick that one up and the Catastrophe Cosmetic one too, however the girls said, this would be incompatible with my dry/combo/sensitive skin. She also noted that these masks only lasted 2-3 weeks so I wouldn’t be able to get through them if I bought two :S. So fail on my part! The reason why this was better for my skin is because it has soothing properties and cleanses the skin well. With ingredients of blueberries, chamomile and almond oil, all these help with cleansing and soothing the skin. I have tried Catastrophe Cosmetic on the skin, its soooooo cooling and soothing on my skin. After washing it off it also did a mini exfoliate of my skin as well. Even applying it on, its super smooth! (how many times did I say soothing!)
Have you guys tried any of the products I’ve purchased, or recently done a Lush haul of your own? Comment below and/or send us a link, we’d love to see!
