Nearing the time I was jetting off to Hawaii for my annual holiday, I couldn’t help but think one thing! The makeup I was about to fill my suitcase with!
On my list was definitely Milk Makeup. A brand that I’ve seen all across YouTube and loved by many beauty influencers!
An iconic product that was a must-have on my list was the Matte Bronzer stick! Another cult product that many enjoy is using their blur stick but I decided not to purchase that since I’m quick picky when it comes to priming products.
I came home with 4 Milk Makeup products. The Matte Bronzer, the Holographic Stick in Mars, The Glitter Stick (Stick Paillettes) and lastly, the Sunshine Skin Tint.
Here are my thoughts on the products after using them for over a month:
Sunshine Skin Tint SPF 30 ‘Honey’
This is a tinted moisturiser base product. It comes in a rollerball pen packaging to easily apply the product straight onto the skin.
Coverage is definitely light. I’d say this is perfect for everyday makeup if you’re not wanting too much coverage. It also has a dewy finish which is up my alley!
They recommend to apply with your fingers but I actually like using a brush with it.
This product contains no preservatives and has coconut, avocado, grape seed and jojoba oils for healthy looking skin!
I give this product a 4/5, I really love it! I love because it’s light and doesn’t feel heavy on the skin!
Matte Bronzer in Baked
This is a cream matte bronzer stick. You can use this to contour and bronze with it.
I LOVEEEE LOVEE THIS PRODUCT. You really can’t f*ck up your application because it easily blends into the skin and you can build it up! I love using a brush with it. Personally for my skin tone it works. For lighter skin tones, I’d recommend doing a swatch because it may appear too dark for you.
On top of that, this product is cruelty-free and talc-free!
This product is a 5/5, I use it most days and I love the shade!
Holographic Stick in Mars
The holographic stick is a cream highlighter stick which has the same packaging as the matte bronzer stick. This shade is more on the bronzy side. For some reason when I swatched it in Sephora it appeared more golden toned but my one seems to be quite subtle and not very noticeable. A little disappointing but I figured I can use this product for the eyes since it’s not really popping as a highlighter for me. However, they have other shades in this range so this isn’t the only shade! I just happened to pick up the wrong one for me.
The product itself is exactly the same quality as the Matte Bronzer, but because the shade is so subtle I have to give it a 3/5.
Glitter Stick (Stick Paillettes)
Same packaging and quality as the Matte Bronzer and Holographic Stick, but it’s literally a glitter stick! When you swatch it on yourself, you’re delighted by tonnes of glitter that stick to the skin! I purchased this to be used for costume days, festivals and also to use on my eyes! It’s actually one of my favourite Milk Makeup products I’ve bought it just because it’s so fun to use!
This product is a 5/5 because it’s so fun to use and it really does give you glitter! Shineeeeeeeee!
